NOT SKIP
Network of Organisations and Towns for Promoting Skills for Participation

How is it possible to effectively promote the participation of citizens in decision-making processes at the EU level, in order to contribute to the construction of the Future of EU?

NOT SKIP is a Network of 6 organizations born from the belief that it is necessary to intervene in the enhancement of skills, knowledge, and  competencies of the citizens at all levels (grassroots, professionals/ experts and decision-makers) so that participatory processes can be promoted and activated in a shared and conscious way, thus providing a considerable impact.

PODCASTs

Episode 1: The voice of change

In a space where civic participation often stays at the level of discussion, today’s episode is about what happens when things actually move forward. We’re joined by Micu Bogdan, an entrepreneur deeply involved in civic participation at both local and national levels. This is a conversation about impact, persistence, and what it really takes to move from voice to results.

Episode 2: The voice of territory: Italy between participation and reality

How does a citizen's voice turn into concrete action? In this episode hosted by Fattoria Pugliese Diffusa APS (Italy) we are going to explore participatory democracy through the expertise of Federico Gaviano (TDM2000). A journey through Sardinia and Puglia to address the core issues of today's debate: from bridging the digital divide to rebuilding trust between citizens and institutions, bringing NOTSKIP project recommendations directly to the local level. TDM 2000 International is a European NGO that connects 28 youth organisations in 22 countries, and that since 2008, it has been working to promote active citizenship, youth empowerment, solidarity and cooperation.

Episode 3: A conversation about civic engagement

Awareness of our civic duties is of utmost importance nowadays. We had the pleasure of hosting MP Linas Kukuraitis to discuss key topics such as civic engagement, youth involvement, democracy, and the role of the European Union — topics of high interest that were identified during the NOTSKIP local activities. He has long been involved in projects related to equal opportunities and civic participation, particularly within youth initiatives, including projects organized and funded by the European Union.
